Ok, so I would ask my mom about this, but knowing her she'd freak out and call 911 or something.
On Monday I got the durabond removed from my incisions (Durabond is basically this glue that holds your incisions together). Underneath I have self-dissolving stitches. Anyways, the other day I noticed that my incisions were bleeding, so I put gauze on them. Eventually it clots, but whenever I change the gauze, if I'm not careful enough, it will begin to bleed again. Don't just tell me to go to the doctor. Is there something I can do to make sure that everything's ok? |

It would be stupid for anybody to say anything that isn't, "Call your doctor."
If a wound has at least partially healed and there's bleeding from a minor aperture, that's fairly common. If the entire area is prone to hemorrhaging, then you have a problem. Limiting movement around the area of the incisions augments the healing rate. Make sure you're not doing activities that would cause them to pull apart, like punching innocent and defenseless woodland creatures. |
