Ok, so I saw it in Chelsea Friday, and I must say that it is an amazing movie. Now anybody that knows me, knows that I am scared of scary movies and stuff, but I really enjoyed this one. I have to go back and watch it again though, because I turned my head during the scary parts in this one. It is short and very much to the point.
On a side note, for anybody that lives near the city, Chelsea has a good movie theater on 23rd btwn 7th and 8th. The A and C let you off right outside of it. |

sorry to bring this back, but i just rented it and saw it a couple of hours ago.
i didn't think it was all that great, but it definitely creeped me out at some parts-like when stacy was cutting herself to get the vines out. the thing that slightly irritated me was that i personally thought the title of the movie was misleading. but i guess if they titled it "killer plants" or something, that wouldn't work either =) also, i just didn't fully understand why the natives didn't just kill them all in the first place. obviously, there wouldn't really be a movie, but i think they could have saved themselves some trouble because they knew the tourists were eventually going to die anyway. i went to imdb.com and some people thought that the natives didn't kill them was because they weren't really murderers and that the vines needed "fresh" blood. but anyways, overall, i was extremely impressed with laura ramsey's performance. i thought she did a great job! |
