So.
I was discussing this with my friend earlier, and we did not know the answer. Say a guy has a sex change, and then comes over all religious, and wants to join some kind of cloister. Does he/she have to become a monk, or a nun? Also, would you ever consider joining up at an abbey? Obviously a question mainly for people with beliefs. |

Say a guy has a sex change, and then comes over all religious, and wants to join some kind of cloister. Does he/she have to become a monk, or a nun? Hypothetically, he should probably communicate his wishes to both types of organizations and get feedback. They might want to go with the original/natural gender since in their eyes it might be "what God had intended." So my guess is monk. QUOTE Also, would you ever consider joining up at an abbey? Obviously a question mainly for people with beliefs. I'm rebelling (not a person with typical beliefs) by answering this. If I were a religious type, I would have to say no. I fell like it would be too restricting and that I would let people down by not being strong enough to handle the responsibility and self sacrfice. |
