I would like to go to a popular university. I'd like to go to a private university too but that's not my main objective.
I want to major in Nursing, so that I can get my pre-med requirements down (its a back up major in case I don't get accepted to med-school) If i don't get accepted to med school then I'll continue to get my Masters and then go into maternal health, since I was planning on becoming an Ob/Gyn anyhow. These are my schools, every couple of weeks I change my mind about them because admissions is coming up and i want to make sure i have the right one. Im any case I'm rattling, here they are.

Clemson University
The College of New Rochelle
Emory University
Howard University
North Carolina State University
Penn State
Towson University
University of Florida
University of Maryland College Park

Not all of them are as popular. I chose my schools because of their attractiveness, ranking, location, and financial aid.
I'm drawn to school spirit, school recognition, campus attractiveness, and honor societies.
Anyone have any opinions on what the best school is, just according to your own opinion because I wouldn't mind going to any of these schools.

For wanting to go to a private school, you've got an awful lot of public ones listed.

If you don't like the country, you might want to cross Clemson off the list. It's not exactly in the country, but there's really nothing else around. Also the campus excessively orange, but that might be a turn off only to me.

Emory is a good school, but a lot more selective than most of those. Also, it's not really a "spirited" kind of school. People like it there, take pride in it, etc., but there's no football. I f**king hate football, but where there is football there is spirit.

You probably don't want to go to NC State. It's most usually viewed as a back up school for those who don't get into UNC Chapel Hill.

UF is a good school. It's getting pretty tough for out-of-staters to get into. I don't think the location's that great, though, and again too much orange. I don't know how much truth there is in this, because apparently they're out rivals, but Florida has a reputation here for being rednecks in cutoffs. Granted, this view contrasts sharply with how other people I know who were from Florida view it. Apparently the Georgia-Florida game is the world's largest cocktail party? Worth keeping in mind if you're into school spirit and alcohol.

I think Penn State is more or less the northern equivalent of Florida or Clemson, maybe even Maryland (which I don't know that much about). A good school too, but maybe not ideal if you're looking for warmth and are interested in privates.
