so there's this guy at my new school... he's a junior and i've had a crush on him since the beginning of sophomore year, but he didn't know who i was until 2nd semester and he knows how i feel. we'd usually just text eachother every now and then... and then he tells me that he likes me but not as much as this other girl that he's crushing on "worse than he's ever crushed on a girl" and he says that's the only thing holding him back...

so i know, that when he says that, i should just drop him. but i can't really do that... so any other options for me to stay in the game? lol

I don't think that it's really fair to call him a jerk, he let you know that he is not going to be with you.

You should respect what he says if you want to keep him as a friend and if you want to keep the relationship healthy. Quit before you get hurt. You two would probably be better off as friends anyway. A boyfriend can come and go but a true friend will always be there.

I don't think that anyone should play "games," they're unneccesary and besides, there will always be someone else.

I don't think that it's fair for you to call him a jerk either. You can't begrudge others' feelings, even if they are not pleasing to you. Unfortunately, chemistry and who you are attracted to is a fickle beast.

I would move on, if you can.
