my laptop wont let me download aim 6.8?

everytime i click on "run" this pops up:

"The installer you are trying to use is a corrupted or incomplete.
This could be the result of a damaged disk, a failed download or virus.

You may want to contact the author of this installer to obstain a new copy.

It may be possible to skip this check using the /NCRC command line switch (NOT RECOMMENDED)"

what should i do? =/

the NSIS error explains itself: either your installation file didn't download properlly, it's corrupted, or you have some form of spyware/virus preventing you from installing (which is the most unlikely, imo). you can try downloading again (how's your wireless signal?) or i guess scan for and remove malware.

you could ignore that whole /NCRC thing, as it only means there's a way to bypass the corruption test, and you'd be able to run the install even though it's corrupted. obviously, an unsafe choice.
