So I'm having problems with my undereye area. I usually have dark circles, and they don't like to go away, even after I sleep for a long time. I've also tried those home remedies like the tea bags, and it doesn't help.

I've been using Almay line smoothing concealer with SPF 10, and it's worked for the most part. However, it dries out my skin a lot. 30 minutes after I'll apply it, the skin under my eyes is dry and feels scaly. >_> I'll wash it off and put on Cetaphil lotion (which usually works amazingly on dry skin), but it just turns red and blotchy.

So I don't know what to use. My skin normally isn't so dry.
Does anyone know of some good concealer that covers up undereye circles AND doesn't dry out your skin? :/

You know, if your skin is drying out and getting red and blotchy, chances are you're allergic to some ingredient in the Almay concealer. Stop using it!

I'm not an expert on concealers by any means...Right now I'm using Airbrush Concealer by Clinique in a click-pen. It's a little on the yellow side so it's great for dark circles. It's also really blendable and smooth, but not really long-lasting. I've also used concealer from L'Oreal's True Match, and it's really blendable. For a while I just used stick foundation to cover my undereye circles and that worked fine too (that was SUPER creamy and awesome).

To prevent drying, I would suggest applying some eye cream to prep the eye area before applying concealer. Your concealer will apply more evenly, won't tug, and (hopefully) won't dry your skin out.
