okay so i have purchased a domain but its taking forvever to send me my info, so I know people who are impatient are a hassle, but how long did it take for you to get your login info, couple minutes? hours? days?

1and1 may be known for having cheap pricing and services, but i think for the typical personal site, it's fine. i doubt a lot of the people signing up for them have high traffic anyway.
one of my friend's sites, which does get an extreme amount of traffic, crashed when he was hosted under dreamhost. there's really no perfect cheap host. there's bound to be downtime. but it's true that there seems to be an inverse relationship between price and service(higher price, less downtime/better service). |
