So I just decided that I wanted to work out its been a while. And while I'm running I can hear my ankles making a cracking sound and while I'm doing push ups the same sound. What can I do to fix the problem?

In the elbow, the ulnar collateral ligament can remain stiff from neglecting to warm-up properly, and your elbows will "click" on extension movements.
Another reason is that the fluid in your elbows can become trapped on one side of the bursa sac. When you extend, the elbow fluid will rush to fill the whole sac, causing a popping sound. As in a bench press, your elbows should be withdrawn in during a push-up, into your sides. This is powerlifting, not bodybuilding, form, and is more kinesiologically sound. When you start out running, you're more susceptible to shin splints. Uphill sprints are easier on your joints while being more taxing on your cardiovascular stamina. |
