Its known that lil wayne became the hottest rapper by using other people's lyrics. Yeah he is the hottest rapper alive [[right now]], but he never uses his own lyrics. Most of his lyrics are from a R&B singer from back in the day. and Lil wayne is really ugly, why do girls throw theirselfs at him? because of the fame probably. but yea. i found that out today.

Where did you get , "Lil Wayne gets his lyrics from an R&B artist" from? Are you just speculating? Because I could have swore Gillie the Kid was a rapper who said he wrote The Carter I, but he has had much better songs since then.
As far as that underground stuff most people including myself do not want to hear a rapper with eloquent lyrics sounding depressed as hell over a microphone all the time . One of the first songs to hit mainstream did not have flashy lyrics but it was about having fun. Nas, who is supposed to be one of the greatest rappers of our time and also supposed positive artist ![]() ![]() Wait stop Kanye doesn't do that? Being a fan of Kanye myself time after time I've heard him use sexual references and call girls bitches and hoes, but yet he is looked at as a positive rapper when alot of his music is just as mainstream as the Soulja Boys and Lil Waynes. Remember when Kanye did that remix to Throw Some Ds, what was he rapping about? *Refers to sigs* ![]() So you telling me Soulja Boy is whats destroying hip hop? I think not. And Lil Wayne has eloquent lines too, even though most of his stuff is random as hell he does have some creative lines the same people who criticize him can't even come up with if someone hinted them in the right direction. well I mean personal preference also plays a large part in determining what's "good" and what's "bad". I prefer eloquence and poetic lyrics that flow with the music, lines that create images and run smoothly off the tongue; intricate selection and use of words is what I highly value, but not that's not what everyone else likes. Some people prefer witty lines, others analogies or metaphors. Some people can say they're the best rapper alive not by blatantly stating that but by spinning out words that sound aesthetically pleasing, or by displaying a broad range of vocabulary and clever diction. personally the "I'm like a bomb tick tick" whatever just doesn't do it for me, and that's really just my personal preference in the end. I just find Lil Wayne's diction and word choice crude and average. How many Lil Wayne songs have you listened to? Lil Wayne uses tons of metaphors, probably not the ones you prefer, but its defintely in his songs. I need something thats going to blast in my car not put me to sleep. ![]() |
