I personally chooser Usher because of his past songs, Although Usher can do better with his releases he has now. Ne-yo is ok, he wrote many songs, he is an actor, and he is like a Usher wanna-be. But Rumors has it that Ne-yo wrote some of Ushers old songs before Ne-yo became hot. So who would it be?

I mean the thing about Usher is that he had songs that are memorable; memorable enough for me to go down a list of his songs and be able to recall and sing out the chorus just by reading the title of the songs. His songs were unique and different, while I find the majority of ne-yo's songs just repetitive and lacking in vocal variation
