another layout... Options

yep, another myspace layout, also for the coding practice, but I really want to improve this one design-wise. any tips/suggestions?

thanks for the opinions.
i might (ok, most likely) will add a bit of color to it (the greys are appealing to me, i notice i tend to use a lot if it, it's just one of my things, i guess!), but it won't be much, just a few deeper things that match the image.
and i'm trying to figure out the best way to incorporate more of the grungy borders. i don't want to do everything like that, because i'm liking the nice clean lines, but i do agree that the image is sort of out of place. i thought about just maybe rounding the corners and slapping it on there, but then it just looks even more like crap. ANYWAYS. suggestions on this matter? =D
ONE MORE THING. the little banner type thingy. i messed for DAYS with this, and i still can't quite find the design that "fits". the current one is actually the best, and it's just a bit of text slapped on there...heh. advice appreciated!
