im staring at the window watching the rain
waiting for the sun to come out to ease my pain
you never liked the cold days and the cold nights
you always wished and asked for to be held tight

I know you like to smile and sing songs when you sleep
but now you can't cuz your heart was cut deep
I didn't mean to or intend to make you cry
now whenever i stare at you, you have these sore eyes

puffed up just as if you were stung by a bee
but thats not the case because you were stung by me
I feel your pain, like I've been touched by a ghost
who's memories remain of what they wanted the most

I can't sleep at night cuz you haunt me in my dreams
crying in front of me im calling you but i cant scream
I can't even move my arms, im trying to hold you
but you walk away and tell me that we're through

now I wake in the morning im living my own nightmare
your voice still echoes and your eyes still stare
as you look at me and a tear falls from your eyes
it's silent, but your lips tell me you say goodbye
