my CHI just broke down on me. & i wanted to see if anyone thought their was a better flat iron or if i should keep this one that i got. it's called a "zoe" but it's okay. like i don't have really thick hair or anything like that. people tell me i have "white girl hhair" no offense. but idk. does anyone think their is anything better? cuz i might jus get a pastel purple CHI to replace this Zoe that i got.

My boyfriend's sister owns a hair salon and she was selling the Chi Nano. She gave me one for free for Christmas -- but I think she was selling them for $150+. Anyways, I've had my Chi Nano for over a year now and it hasn't died on me. I really like it because it's light, pretty looking, and does the job really well. Unfortunately there's no temperature adjustment, but that's only because it's not too hot or anything, and it seems hot enough.
![]() My hair's kind of straight, but now I cut it again (well, got it trimmed last month) and depending on how I sleep, my hair can pouf up, so I need to straighten the top, mainly. I used to straighten my hair every day, but then my hair felt really dry, so I stopped and now it feels a lot smoother. If you're planning on buying a Chi, google up some online stores that sell it for a low price. It's pretty handy. :D |

yeaa..i see what everyone is saying...but the Vidal's and the Hot Tool's just don't work for me. cuz here's the thing: it's my mom, my sister, and i who use the same flat iron and we all don't have the same type of hair so i have to have something worth the money. like i can go to target, cvs, wal*mart, walgreens or wherever and buy those flat irons for myself but i can't do it for my mom or my sister.
i def. want to try as a Sedu but money is tight. My boyfriend's sister owns a hair salon and she was selling the Chi Nano. Well it also depends on the product she uses with your hair. After she washes your hair, did she put some hair serum (i.e. paul mitchell super skinny serum) in your hair? It helps with drying and creates a coating on your hair that helps keep it from being roasted by the flat iron. Then you blow dry your hair or let it air dry. After you straighten your hair, make sure you put on another even amount of serum on your hair, as that will help flatten some of the frizz and smooth away the flyaways. Honestly, I can't give you a good enough opinion since my hair is pretty straight, but it does have a slight wave to it (every since i cut it really short a while back). But the Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum + Chi Nano worked really well with my hair. I guess I'm partial to my Chi Nano because I got it for free. ![]() |
