as i have protected them -

it's the abyss you should be afraid of.
what dwell here are known to be:
the nutrients of your soul, your faith, your fears.
your life is only going to find purchase if you stay.
if you leap down,
you are but a whisper in a howling storm long passed
never remembered, never born, never suffered, never loved.
and i, who peer into the glass will forget you like them,
one erased etch, one smudge of ink on my palm, one life gone.
so if you truly wish to never be remembered to be forgotten
and to never be celebrated or feared or cursed
go down.
but know... that where we are is the last stand of those possibilities,
