My website, overlookedd.com, used to show up in google searches. Now it does not. I also do not have a page ranking. I submitted a site map to google webmasters tools, and i also have verified my site. my site does not contain any inappropriate content, and i don't use any affiliate programs or search engine bot programs, or whatever they are called.
can anyone tell me why i don't show up in google searches anymore? i recently switched from php to html. I was wondering if this could have caused a problem. any feedback would be very much appreciated. |

it's more beneficial for you to get links in rather than links out. Google hates it if you link to 1,000 pages but no one links to you.
i've found the best way to do this is to find a very popular blog (usually a professionally written one, as they most often have the highest page rank). if you comment on the posts, you can usually leave your website. doing that would give you an extra link to your site without you adding another link out of your site. basically, it settles down to +1 points for every site that links to you, and +0 points for every site that you link to. if you go link crazy, and list too many sites on your site without having links in, then a lot of times Google penalizes you for that. |
