I only heard of the DVORAK keyboard today. I think its the weridest thing. But thats probably because im so used to QWERTY.
I used to ask why it wasnt in alphebetical answer before, and i still do. but i dont think i would want it in alphebetical order. THE DVORAK KEYBOARD THE QWERTY KEYBOARD ps i thought dvorak was some russian name at first |

Alphabetical would be logical, but it's very impractical. Back in the day when people used typewriters that were arranged alphabetically, the clicking keys would often get stuck, especially between letters that were used often (e.g. R S T, three letters which are very commonly used). So the QWERTY keyboard was born in order to fix this problem.
Some guy invented the Dvorak keyboard because he believed it was more effective and more efficient than QWERTY, but we are all too stubborn and lazy to change. |
