Why do people criticize "gay/lesbian" people? i'm not gay but i just want to know why there is so much hate towards them. i have alot of friends that are gay & lesbians & they're great people. I know that sometimes it's because of people's beliefs (heaven & hell) but i mean why can't they just stay out of their business & accept them for who they are.
Alot of people say that they are depressed people, but like i said i have alot of friends, & they're not depressed. why so much hatred?

there will always be hate in the world. world peace is but a fiction and hope of our imagination. with so many religions and political views, it is almost impossible to achieve. :(

the religion you're talking about (and i know you didn't say it but i'm pretty sure i know which one you're talking about) has something specific in their belief. the base & foundation of their religion.

"Love Thy neighbor" and Jesus Christ himself preached words of accepting people for who they were. You've heard this before, "God is wrathful and Jesus is forgiving".

Religious background has a lot to do with this. Like Elba said, it's not the "norm" and people argue that it's not found in nature and what not but it is!

Fruit flies can be gay, penguins, cats, dogs, ANY DAMN ANIMAL can be gay. It's not by choice.

Ignorant people don't see that. They think, "You can't be born gay, you're born again." ahah that's a quote from the movie Saved! with Mandy Moore, but anyway, seriously, that's how people think.

It's nice that you're accepting of people. You're a good person. Those who hate will not find a place in their "heaven" if they judge others. Because according to their faith, the only person who can judge them is God or Jesus.
