Okay, so i searched and didnt find anything but if there is another topic then just bump it im sorry.

BUT the big song of the summer is going to be Katy perry - I Kissed a Girl.

Now i love this song and im all about it. this is basically a hit and dont deny it.

im just not so sure about the whole message this will send out, esp to the tweens listening to it. We are pushing boundaries at the moment and i think this def is pushing the envelope.

Now i looked on itunes and this song isnt labeled as explicit while it doesnt contain any profanities like curse words or sexual intentions but it simply has the lyrics "i kissed a girl and i liked it...i dont even know her name."

Some people said they liked the beat but the lyrics where disgusting and the rest of the people loved it. Now if it didnt have those lyrics i think it would of gotten 4 1/2 stars but now its at 3 1/2 which is usually an "okay" in itunes terms.

I just wanted to see what you guys think????

I think the song is pure awesome but this song is going to be big i think, not just a hit but also a controversial topic.

Well, the melody/beat itself really isn't a stand-out (not actually that catchy, I had to think pretty hard to figure out the melody by myself again). Musically it's not even close to last summer's hit, Umbrella. I know you might hate that song but there's no denying its power to stick in your mind, ella ella eh eh.

So, if you're liking the song because of the 'shock-factor' lyrics, then it's not really a reason to like the song. I like Katy Perry's other song better, "Ur So Gay" - the lyrics are better and I like it better musically too.

I like her, though. I think it's because she looks so much like Zooey Deschanel.
