Strange SuperStitions, 0: Options

After I got my bangs cut a few months ago, my Grandmother said I shouldn't because of this Chinese superstition


She said, you've got 3 lights, one on your forehead, and one on each of your shoulders. They help you see the ghosts, and ghosts fear you for the light. Since I have bangs, she says it's covering one of my flashlights and it isn't good and I'll be attacked by ghosts or something in the future o__o;.

What are some strange superstitions you've heard of?

We had something similar to what you did for your grandpa's. Although, instead of wrapping it in white paper, we just let the money drop. And people in their houses threw some at us too, but we weren't allowed to pick it up either, or some curse or whatever would be set upon you.

That also reminded me of when you leave the cemetary after a funeral -- my mom told me we're not supposed to look back no matter what, or else the soul of the corpse (friend or foe) would follow you home and haunt you.

Oh, and don't get me started on such ghost stories/superstitions led unto them, such as the White Lady or capree's, etc. Lol. =s
