After I got my bangs cut a few months ago, my Grandmother said I shouldn't because of this Chinese superstition
![]() She said, you've got 3 lights, one on your forehead, and one on each of your shoulders. They help you see the ghosts, and ghosts fear you for the light. Since I have bangs, she says it's covering one of my flashlights and it isn't good and I'll be attacked by ghosts or something in the future o__o;. What are some strange superstitions you've heard of? |

My mom has that superstition, too! It must be an asian thing. =P
I also follow such things as not opening umbrella's indoors, walking under ladders, knocking on wood, putting leaves from this tree in the Philippines in my back pocket to ward off spirits, etc. Lots of crazy superstitions from the asian culture, and I was brought up to believe most of them. :| (My mom also practices feng shui, so she gets mad if I put my room out of the order she placed it in. This is bad luck for this, bad luck for that, blah blah) My friend also hangs up grapes above all his doors for the New Year, which is a superstition said to bring money to their household. |
