Do you ever ask for changes to be made to the dishes on the menu? Like, I'm a vegetarian, so if there is like, a really good pasta dish or something, but it has chicken in it, I'll ask for it without, for example, or occasionally change an accompaniment...
It's such a hypocritical thing of mine, as well, because it used to bug the hell out of me when people did it to me at work, because I'd have to go into the kitchen and tell the chef about it, and then there would be sulking, swearing, etc. if it was a busy night. |

People at the restaurant i work at make really strange requests and such, but when you put it in the computer and stuff it's not too bad. like 86 the chicken sub salmon, or 86 the seasoning, or something like that. . .
what i do find annoying, is when all the dishes come out, and the person takes one bite of their meal, makes a big fuss about it, sends it back, wants it re-cooked. we re-cook it, it's fine. it's def done medium rare bitch. and again she'll send it back, saying it was well done. that's when i get pissed off. or the managers/cooks get pissed off. but subing the sides to a dish, or changing the dish around is not a big deal, i'm actually suprised when people get it the way it is on the menu these days. |
