The CG's should have been updated, they weren't.
It's a good idea to look over them periodically, as individual announcements are not made every time the guidelines are updated. Of course in this case, it wouldn't have helped, which is why I lowered Spencer's warn level. Thinking about it, there should be a way to communicate changes. I just don't want a new thread every time something happens or something is changed. I'll think on it. If you guys have some suggestions as to how to alert people of changes, I'm all ears, I love suggestions. The only thing I can think of right now is informing people that it's a rule the first time they violate a newer guideline (and point out the guideline). Then after that, issue a warning. I've had a lot going on in my personal life and haven't had a lot of time to do things online, so I'll take responsibility for the CG's not getting updated. |
