White Guys Hitting on Asian Girls at Asian Parties Options

What an inflammatory subject heading. I'm sure everyone will have lots to say on this. So tell me, what is the deal with white guys who frequent Asian parties hitting on Asian women. I was at a gathering last week for a Happy Hour and this white guy approaches two of my female friends as well as myself, one after another, each sequentially about 10 minutes apart. Extremely persistent and easily offended, he became irate when nobody would give him time of day.

So, what gives? Does he deserve to be treated meanly by Asian women for being the only white guy at an Asian function? Is the fact that he is there indicative of an Asian fetish? Or, are we too harsh to non-Asians at such events in general? I suppose none of the girls would have been so mean to him if he had been just normal and friendly. However, he was very slimy (and not at all attractive incidentally) and appeared to be "on the prowl". Is/was our intolerance some sort of reverse racial discrimination? I must point out however, that if I had been introduced to him through friends at the gathering, I am sure I would not have been the way I was to him. What does everyone think?

First of all, as a white female living in a predominantly white area, I must say it is infuriating how every guy I've ever dated always stops to check out the rare Asian girl that walks by. It's like they see other white people all the time, so when they see an Asian girl they're immediately interested. A lot of the time, when you talk to guys about what kind of girl they think is hot, they'll say, "Asian." xD

Secondly, define "Asian function". You guys just all hang out together and it's looked at as strange if an outsider shows up? I dunno, that's kinda weird considering how diverse social gatherings are around here. The only thing I can think of is that we have a lot of international students that tend to stay together and not really socialize with other people. *shrug*

Anyway, I think a lot of times when a guy tries to hit on a girl, regardless of race, it's gonna be pretty awkward. If you're not exaggerating in saying that he's literally the only white guy at the party, then yeah, maybe that's a little strange unless a lot of you know him.

But I can't really say much, I'm fully aware that life around here is way different.

Club thing! not just like a chill with friends thing.

Besides it was an Asian American social gathering for an Asian club, but any ethnicity could come.

Since I'm asian living in a majority white and black neighborhood, when I spot some asians my slanty asian eyes goes directly towards them.

I also have asian friends that only date non-asians as well.

But anyway the fact that the guy is creepy would turn me off, not cause of his skin.
