when i was in canada i was already used to spelling it colour, centre, theatre, etc. and then i go to the states and i want to spell it like that, but i'm a bit skeptical of getting points taken off or something.
have you guys ever gotten points taken off for it but convinced the teacher that it was correct? |

Well, I live in Canada, so it's not an issue. Although I'm sure if I spelled it as "center", I wouldn't get any marks taken off. It would just be actual spelling mistakes like "alot" (how people even get this wrong...I have no idea) and "dissapointing" (this one makes me cringe!). |
