All right, so my girlfriends birthday is coming up soon, and I haven't the slightest clue what to do for her. We've been together for nearly two years, and yes, unfortanately, we do live apart. During the last two years I've written her two letters, made some cards, and left her a message singing happy birthday to her. I'm not the kind of guy to repeat myself a lot; I like new things and giving surprises. But with being so far apart it's difficult. And yes, I do know that I could send her a present. I've asked her several times if I could, but she says she doesn't want me to just buy her things. She likes presents from the heart, I guess. Anyway, I'd really appreciate it if anyone could give me any ideas.

QUOTE she says she doesn't want me to just buy her things I'm pretty sure that what women say and what they mean are two entirely different things ![]() You have to get a t least one sentimental gift in their. Men are all gadgets and functional, but often women want something with a little more meaning. Perhaps theres a photo of the two of you together you could frame? Lastly, why not make a gift box. Get a shoebox and wrap it up nicely, fill it full of smaller gifts individually wrapped and make the whole thing nice and presentable. Everyone likes getting lots of presents, even if its full of little trinkets and sweets. |
