I just got back from the NFL Congress, where I placed into the IDEP International Legislative Debate Round! Woo hoo! I found it unfair that the kids from China and Russia had their own country, so I declared Pennsylvania a sovereign nation as well, fully able to nullify the laws passed by the UN. So my question is:
Should the UN be a legislative body? As in should it act like a World Congress? |

QUOTE(ComradeRed @ Jun 22 2004, 8:36 PM) Yes I'm opposed to a World Congress for that precise reason. Not so much an executive branch, but a powerful judiciary capable of nullifying unjust legislation is of prime importance. And who would be indifferent and unbiased enough to sit in the Judiciary branch? Wouldn't we have to make a whole different "UN" for that purpose, right? |
