In need of a little clarity, I'm not sure if that's possible? Options

So there's this guy that I used to talk to alot last semester and I even liked him for some time...once that semester ended we stopped talking and never saw eachother so my crush kind of died.

Anyway, a couple weeks ago my friend told him that if he were to go to prom to ask me? and the guy said he would, and he ended up asking me, and he even said he was excited to go and such.

So now i basically see him in the hallway almost everyday. It seems as though everytime i'm about to say hello to him, he looks the other way. This happens almost all the time. And whenever i text him, he keeps it really brief.

WHY?! I mean...is he just shy? we used to get along so well last semester, i dont know what happened to that.

Prom is coming up, how can i deal with a date that cant even look me in the eye?

ANd usually dates get together and talk about arrangements for that day,or even just hang out, but that doesnt even happen with us!

^ i think so too. it would be kind of weird and awkward to just randomly go to prom with someone who you haven't really talked to (at least recently) or who might be uncomfortable with you. prom is about having fun and enjoying the night, you wouldn't want to be around someone who isn't comfortable with or is too shy to even look at you. you should try to stop him one day and just ask him what's up. don't be too forward just start small talk. loosen the tension.
