I propose that if a feedback topic directly relates to a staff member, that staff member cannot close and "resolve" the topic him or herself. This isn't to pick at anyone necessarily, but frankly there's no objectivity there, and it isn't right.

I'm short on time (as I said in my pm to Nicki a minute or so ago), since I'm at work. I know you guys hear that at lot, but it's a fact, I'm a full time employee and mom. Time is not on my side sometimes.
Anyway, where to begin - Invisible mods. I am always invisible at work. It's an irrational paranoia of mine to be visible when logging on at work. I get home and I forget to log out then log back in visible. I'll do my best to remember to do that if it is something that important to people. xD The first thread you guys are referring to, I honestly felt that even though things were left unanswered, both Dani and myself did everything we could to find out what happened to the deleted trash. There was nothing, nothing at all. No mod logs showed anyone deleting the trash, yet they are gone. Both Dani and I looked. I'm still befuddled by it. I think by now that most of you know that I do not like the idea of deleting threads period (unless it's advertising or a slew of spam fest topics...and I'm talking about back to back to back to back spam topics, not random ones). That is me though. I'm an edit-er. That isn't to say that if someone else feels differently, that'll just undo what they did. I think they deserve the chance to explain why and if it seems rational, I'll let it go. However, things in the trash are to NEVER be deleted. You can feel confident that current administration (ewww, that sounds too business like) will not delete trash can items. So, second thread, the one from last evening. Oh boy. I think the reason why (in part, since I'm obviously not a mind reader) it was moved and closed was because Trish felt she had nothing more to say, hence resolved. I can't say that I agree with this. I'll be posting more on this on a bit, since I'd like to discuss this with her. |
