I actually edited that part out of my post, but there are a few film majors on my floor and they're really obnoxious to watch movies with. They have an elitist, my-taste-is-better-than-yours attitude and constantly say things similar to what I quoted you as saying. Even when I agree with them, I hate listening to them talk because they tend to go into things that nobody else really cares about. Yeah, Harold and Kumar was a little over the top, but I personally think that's what gives it appeal. And then somebody like you comes along and says something like: QUOTE The attempted satire of America was idiotically juxtaposed against an appeal to the lowest common denominator(bravo for sucking so hard). I enjoyed the first one (although I would never aspire to own it), but this sequel is far too self-important to be so unfunny. What the hell is that even supposed to mean? |
