has your significant other ever told you they loved you an dyou just didn't feel like you truly loved them back?
did you say it back just to be nice? if not how did you respond? -editt- i guess my point was somehwt confusing; if you didn't love them back, what did you say to them instead of "i love you"? |

If you aren't ready to tell someone you love them, truly, then don't do it. That's just throwing the word around like its candy. Wait until you feel its the right moment to say it back to him. Tell him that you're not ready to respond back with an "I love you too", your reasons why, etc. If he does love you, and doesn't want you to rush into things, he'll understand.
