The official CB club for Twilighters

Twilight, the movie, is currently scheduled for release on December 12th of this year! That being said, a lot of us are anticipating this film like you wouldn't beleive, so what else could be better than an official CB Twilight film club?!
Of course there are other Twilight related threads, so go check 'em out!

I will be updating a bit later with various links to videos, interviews, articles, cast pictures, etc, but i'm on strict orders for the creation of this thread so i'm not going to dwell more than needed. One more thing, we need somebody who has the time to "report" things, like videos and such. Obviously, anybody can do this at any point, but the Reporter will do the majority of it!

Robert interview, Part 1:

(With some of his questions, I have to kind of guess, so I’m not quoting him word for word)
Interviewer: He’s asking for a synopsis of the film.
Rob: Yeah, Twilight is, it’s a story about a seventeen year old girl who moves to a new town and meets this family of really strange looking people, one of which she thinks hates her initially but has this kind of weird almost powerful connection with and then she finds out he’s actually a vampire and he wants to kill her all the time. And then they fall in love. The end!
Interviewer: I think he’s asking about the adaptation from the book and what Robert thinks about it.
Rob: I mean, the adaptation really shocked me, it was really shocking once I read the script It was so much faster paced, I mean the book is so, like, lingering because it’s all sort of so every little detail …no detail is over looked, because it’s from Bella’s perspective and she’s completely obsessed with Edward and everything he does, but the script is much tighter. It’s like reading an action script and you know that really shocked me. But I mean when you actually try and play it as the story, it’s impossible to play the story just kind of like (I have no idea what he says here). It’s an interesting balance.
Interviewer: I think he’s asking about the Harry Potter effect and if Rob’s ready to deal with that kind of reception like Harry Potter gets, like the fan-base and all of the films, etc.
Rob: I don’t know, no I mean...if it is the trilogy and stuff I hope we’ve made it, hope I’ve put enough into the performance to make it interesting to play I guess for another two movies, I mean definitely there is a lot of material there and there is a lot of interesting ways to go with it, I mean the books, the books definitely work, I mean I wanted to read the second two when I was done with the first one, and not just because ..I mean it wouldn’t have been necessary for the audition. It was just kind of interesting Edward’s progression. Um, yeah, but I hope it goes well, cuz Stephenie Meyer is pretty nice
Interviewer: He asks about Chemistry on set, how’s it working with Kristen and everybody.
Rob: You know it’s just really like..I mean Kristen is great ..she’s one of the main reasons I wanted to do this it’s just a..her body of work and also because uh…just the audition made me feel very differently. I had no idea I would want to do it before the audition because it’s something kind of (intelligible) But yeah she’s just an extraordinarily talented actress. It’s nice working with people who are good.
Interviewer: He’s asking about how the film portrays Edward’s character as being very chivalrous and how he thinks modern audiences will respond to that.
Rob: I don’t know, because the actual sexuality in it …it’s kind of hard (something) it’s just..it doesn’t evencross their minds but at the same time it’s desperately wanting to ..but it’s impossible. It’s not like they are really young they’re like 18, so it’s like (they want to do it?) I think it’s a lot more complex than just your average teenage things, I mean they stay with each other even though they can’t have a normal relationship…they can’t go to house parties and they live in this tiny town, and they are just living for each other, and it’s strange it’s a completely devoted relationship like in the second book when I leave Bella she like..dies…when I leave and it’s just strange for a couple that has been together like six weeks and it’s like what the hell, but the sexuality is much more, it’s kind of more intense …when they both know that they should be but they just can’t.

Robert interview, Part 2:

Interviewer: Asking about everyone’s obsession with vampires and how the vampire romance will be a main theme in the film (Dumb question, Imo)
Rob: Yeah, I mean..I guess the whole thing about I don’t know it’s a kind of thing that vampires and what they have morphed into, they are like God, but not really..it’s like a curse and blessing at the same time, all powerful but totally helpless and that’s what the attraction is. I think.
Interviewer: He’s asking about Rob’s deep dark secrets
Rob: In my own life? I try and hide the fact that I’m a complete *weenie*..I’ve spent my whole life trying to do that. (laughs). I mean..no, I guess if you tell everybody, tell everyone all your secrets, all your phobias and all the scuz (hahah) in your closet, if you tell everyone, they think you’ve got better stuff. If you tell everything the worse stuff about you the first time you meet them, they think “wow that guy must be evil” and I guess it’s more interesting being evil, but if you just try to be nice to people then no one like you , they think you’re boring.
Interviewer: Is asking Rob how he feels about being touted as the next big thing, the next “Jude Law” etc. The next big heartthrob.
Rob: I don’t know, I’m just kind of ..it doesn’t really mean anything, you can say what you want, it’d be nice to be big because you can just pick your jobs and stuff, that would be nice, but I think there is a lot of hassle involved as well. I don’t know I kind of like the level I’m at now I’m doing nice jobs and stuff and I’m getting into a level of parts where you can actually bring things to it. That’s nice, it’s all you can really want.
Interviewer: He asks him about always wanting to be an actor and his influences and such.
Rob: Nothing was really set in stone, I never really set out to be an actor, I still don’t really, it’s just kind of …I guess, you know,just people who make good...things, which aren’t just movies, you know ,it’s just something, and my sort of ideal is just doing something, all the movies I liked I wanted to be the people afterwards, it kind of added something to your life, and I guess I’d like to do that. You can watch a movie and feel, and pick up on a character, and you relate to a character and think yeah I can pick up on that stuff and become more confidant or whatever. You know that’s kind of the power of cinema, I’d like to work on stuff like that.
Interviewer: What’s he got coming up.
Rob: I’m not sure yet, I might be doing another movie in the summer. I don’t know, I’m kind of supposed to be doing an album.
Interviewer: A music album?
Rob: Yeah, but I mean I can never make my mind up, because I’m going to have to go back to London, it’s a question of my bags it’s like can I be bothered with a flight, can I be bothered with a ten hour flight or should I just go to LA? I mean that’s literally the only criteria.
Interviewer: What kind of music?
Rob: It’s um Album I’m recording with a friend of mine, a musician in London, it’s just sort of …kind of (he mumbles for like a minute straight LOL)..I don’t know, something. It’s quite good though, I like it.
Interviewer: What do you do?
Rob: I play the guitar and piano, a bit of trumpet and saxophone, and I sing and stuff. It’s what I was doing before I was acting, every time I finish an acting job I think Oh yeah I should do that, then my agent calls me up and Oh yeah, I should probably do acting, and then I’m kind of in limbo most of the time, but yeah, I mean I guess music is kind of younger..you got to be young if you want to do music, and I’m getting older, you know.
