When did become an acceptable modding action to do this all the time? There have been too many examples lately (I don't want to bring up old issues), but what has happened to the Elba = Melie thread? I never got to read it. Just because it's been resolved doesn't mean it needs to be deleted. It's really irritating for things to be deleted, and it decreases accountability, because then things can't be referenced and quoted.

Kinda glad you brought this up, because I've been wanting to discuss this but we've all had other things on our minds..
The topics that have been deleted recently were deleted because they were "spam" and "useless clutter", I believe was the reason. Not long ago it was mentioned that we shouldn't JUST close those topics; we should instead close and delete them. Specifically in the case of the Elba = Melie topic, that had reached several pages and had gotten resolved (i.e., we all found out that Elba is in fact NOT Melie). Anyone reading the topic had no reason to be confused and there was no reason for that topic to be deleted. I disagree with this method, personally, and Jusun has always been blatantly against deleting posts as well. I would personally rather not see it; it just hasn't been brought up (until now). |
