I think CB should have a feature in which a user can (optionally) receive an email notification when someone else replies to/quotes their post in a thread.
Actually, it'd be cool if posts also had a "Reply" button so you could reply to someone's post but not necessarily quote it, and then they would receive an email about it, too. |

It was, basically, that you had to be subscribed to a topic in order to receive a notification when a person replied to it. And even then, you got an e-mail ANYTIME someone replied, not just when they quoted you.
I think the way IPB works, when you quote someone it only generates the BB code so it appears as a quote - the post doesn't necessarily get marked as a reply. I'm curious to know whether this is something that can be implemented easily or not, but I will say that I'd love to see this feature if at all possible. |
