Adapting to a new location

How long does it take yall to adapt to a new location? How long does it take you to REALLY know your place? You can say it could be a lifetime for you to really truly understand the aspect of where you live. But just in general terms, it usually takes me about 2 years to actually get the feel of a new city. I been living in Davis for nearly two years now, and I can say I am starting to get use to the place, but there's still some little aspects that I'm still unfamiliar with.

well, where I currently am, it took me about half a year to really get used to it. and till now, I'm still not really comfortable where I am. Maybe it's due to the fact that it's so far out in the boonies. I need my city skylines. D:
