Adapting to a new location Options

How long does it take yall to adapt to a new location? How long does it take you to REALLY know your place? You can say it could be a lifetime for you to really truly understand the aspect of where you live. But just in general terms, it usually takes me about 2 years to actually get the feel of a new city. I been living in Davis for nearly two years now, and I can say I am starting to get use to the place, but there's still some little aspects that I'm still unfamiliar with.

Well hm gosh darn, I was only a wee little toddler when I first went to preschool and noticed that there were other children of different skin colors. It was shocking. =X

Well Tung, yea it only took me a month because I moved to places I've been before. I was born in Linda Vista (town inside San Diego), moved to Mira Mesa, then moved to City Heights, then moved to Oak Park, the moved back to City Heights. These are all little towns (or areas, w/e they are) within San Diego. I've been to these places before, even when I was living in Mira Mesa. It wasn't hard for me to adapt to the living conditions (ghetto areas) and the types of people around me.

I used to live between two houses with Mexican families, and they'd throw a party every two weeks that went into the middle of the night. Man, those nights I couldn't sleep, and I'd hear gun fires in the the back alley. Could've been a BB gun or something, IDK but I was scurred, yo.
