Make this thread helpful for the mods.
Mods are members, also. So member bashing is not allowed, as always. Don't make it a personal vendetta, please. Keep the bashing at 0%, please. Any moderator has the right to close and unpin this thread at the signs of bashing, pointlessness, and/or any other guideline breaker. I do hope this works out. I want to stress that this is not the place for personal attacks. If you really have to, keep it in the PM system between you and the mod. This thread is here to help mods work better with members. Please do not make this thread into a full scale discussion. Its main purpose is for members to evaluate moderator performance. If your question/concern has been answer, cease to post here until you have another concern. Thank you. So...your thoughts? (Threads will closed at the 45 page mark) |

Assuming there was ever a sense of community in the first place. You can't really fix what you haven't broken. I don't feel as if moderators had a significant forum presence before, anyway, but people have other things to do, especially at this time. The criticism would be more constructive at another time.

I don't feel as if moderators had a significant forum presence before, anyway, but people have other things to do, especially at this time. The criticism would be more constructive at another time. I completely disagree with that. Previous to the current mods, many of the mods (and in all of this, I'm referring to only People Staff, DS doesn't matter) had a strong presence around these forums. People Staff are modded not only to just mod the general forums, but to keep the forums moving. Sure, everyone's busy at this time of the year, whether we're regular/official members or mods. But if all PS does right now, is to comment on just one or two subforums and talk backstage, I don't feel as if they're really doing their jobs. And are you saying that just because people are busy, that my criticism of not having mods around is invalid? Obviously, none of you are paid to work here, which makes 'modding' just whatever spare time you may have. But if mods can't devote time to cb, even if it's just 15-20 minutes a day or so, to pop in, visit a couple of subforums and comment on certain things, then I think that they should step down. So many previous mods have been demoted or have stepped down due to this. Not because they don't come on every day, but they don't make their presence seen enough that it was seen as inactivity. |
