how close are you to your bf/gf's parents? Options

i wouldn't say that i have a good relationship with my bf's mom . . . i wouldn't even say that i like her very much at all. i guess i dont have much respect for someone that acts like a child and expects her son to do everything for her besides goto her shitty job at the truck stop.

since she has lost her car because she's an irritational idiot, she's been trying to get me to drive an hour all the way to longview to take her to run errands and it feels so good just saying "nah, i dont feel like it"-although sometimes i cave in just to keep appearances up.

so, what are your feelings towards your significant other's parental figures?

His parents like me a hell of a lot more than his ex-girlfriend, or any of his brothers girlfriends but we don't really have a close relationship. When I stay with him, I have conversations with them but we aren't too comfortable with each other yet. We sometimes hang out with his brothers, but usually are holed up in his room.

I guess it's different if you are dating someone in college and live in different states. My last boyfriends parents absolutely loved me. I was their 3rd daughter, I was over there probably more than I was at my house. His mother and I stayed close for a while after we broke up and she likes me more than his current slut. :)
