talkin on the phone.... Options

ive got a problem recently...sometimes when i talk on the fone with my gf, i dun think there is anything to talk about..ijust duno what to say somtiems...its just awkward silence...iduno...she doesnt talk as much as before..and probably idont too...cuz i usually talk more when someone makes a comment or statement orwhatever..iduno...i get affected easily. so yeh....what's the problem tho...is our relationship turing bad...or its just..a short term probme...hopefully..iduno...
please help.

Me and my boyfriend talk on skype, so it wont cost us nothing.
Neways, i live in europe right now, and he's NYC, but we still manage to talk every day, and sometimes all day, but we dont care if theres silence every now and then, i dunno, we pretty feel comfy wit the silence, as long as we know that the other person is right there on the other hand, so we end up doin different things, like id do a layout, and hed play video games, or we watch a movie together, like press play at the exact same second ;), or surf the web together, go online-shopping together .. .. corny i know .. i dunno how it is between ya'll, but silence doesnt mean that there is smthg wrong in ur relationship .. at least not to me ..

there are times when my hubby and i talk and we both are just sitting there on the phone just enjoying each other's voice. he's in iraq and i'm in ks so the times that we do spend on the phone are meaningful but it doesn't have to consist of something very important. sometimes we just talk about our feelings. like, i tell him i miss him and i'm glad to hear from him. but, if it is bothering you, why not ask your gf if it bothers her? if it doesn't then you don't have anything to worry about.
