how close are you to your bf/gf's parents? Options

i wouldn't say that i have a good relationship with my bf's mom . . . i wouldn't even say that i like her very much at all. i guess i dont have much respect for someone that acts like a child and expects her son to do everything for her besides goto her shitty job at the truck stop.

since she has lost her car because she's an irritational idiot, she's been trying to get me to drive an hour all the way to longview to take her to run errands and it feels so good just saying "nah, i dont feel like it"-although sometimes i cave in just to keep appearances up.

so, what are your feelings towards your significant other's parental figures?

I have a semi-okay relationship with my boyfriend's family. However, I only met them once so I can't really base anything off of that. I try being as polite as I possibly can in front of them, and in the future do things like wash the dishes and help out around their house (which is what my mom suggested me to do). I'm a very shy person so we didn't talk much when I was there -- they just asked me questions and I answered them.

I personally really like his mom. Totally different than my own mom and easy to relate to. His sister, however, intimidates the hell out of me, haha. But we'll see how it goes in the future. ^^

Being shy sucks.
