OMFG!!! my mom says that to me ALL the time!! i have no clue what she's talking about... if i HAVE a cake... why the HELL would i not want to eat it?? like... HELLO?

So I finally figured this one out after randomly deciding to look it up.
It's supposed to be thought of as "You can't eat your cake and have it too," meaning that after you eat your cake, you can't keep having it because it's already gone. Which makes so much more sense. Why couldn't they just say so? lol. |
