For those who have an existing web site, before you got your domain what did you do....did you buy any programs from a store, what tools did you use or did you pay another person to do it, were you happy with the end result?

photoshop=not telling.
 notepad=free, code from scratch hosting=free, plus no ads, built-in scripts, you name it. i'm in love with my host. ONE THING, THOUGH. how the EFFING MUFF did you get a free domain?
