Well I searched the forums and didn't find a topic on this so I wanted to make one. I love film noir and old black and white. I don't get a lot of time to watch movies and where I live it's hard to find these off the beaten track films at places like Blockbuster. What movies do you love? I might make a list of "must sees". I also like the neo noir films but rarely get a chance to see those ones since I don't have IFC anymore. Here's a few of the ones I really love:
1) The Bad Seed, the original not the remake. 2) Double Indemnity 3) Hush Hush Sweet Charlotte (might as well save some space and say all Bette Davis since there is no one above her ![]() 4) Mildred Pierce A few of my favorite horror films, not so old but still good: 1) The Legend of Hell House 2) The Omen, original 3) The Legacy of Maggie Walsh 4) Rocky Horror Picture Show, ok not scary but who doesn't love Tim Curry in a pair of fishnet stockings? 5) The House On Haunted Hill, remake good also, was called The Haunting 6) Anything Brad Dourif has been in 7) Anything from the 70's made in England, they make some ridiculous movies and I love them for it. |

The only film noir I can remember watching is "The Third Man", which I saw in my Media Arts 9/10 class. That was pretty cool, but I wasn't really paying attention.
Does "Eraserhead" count? I watched that one in the same course, and that one freaked the hell out of me! Holy crap... |
