how close are you to your bf/gf's parents? Options

i wouldn't say that i have a good relationship with my bf's mom . . . i wouldn't even say that i like her very much at all. i guess i dont have much respect for someone that acts like a child and expects her son to do everything for her besides goto her shitty job at the truck stop.

since she has lost her car because she's an irritational idiot, she's been trying to get me to drive an hour all the way to longview to take her to run errands and it feels so good just saying "nah, i dont feel like it"-although sometimes i cave in just to keep appearances up.

so, what are your feelings towards your significant other's parental figures?

i get along great with my hubby's family. his mom and sister stayed with me at my folks house for a few days on x-mas. i think it was great. his dad is really nice and he'll call sometimes just to check up on us.

my hubby gets along great with my family too. everytime we visit my family, he has so much fun because my family can be crazy. my dad always asks about him and my mom loves him. my uncles and aunts love him too. (we're a very close knit family).
