I didn't watch the episode until just now...
I have to say that their first dance this week's was Status Quo's best performance, NEVER MIND the fact that they have no chance against (or no fans compared to, for that matter) Jabbawockeez. That second thing they did... can that even be called a dance? Holy crap. How SQ got this far is beyond my understanding. Everyone on cB is right - it should be a Kaba/Jabba showdown for the season finale. WTF?? But to be completely honest, I think Jabbawockeez made it a tiny bit unfair by running into the crowd. It caused a huge wave of excitement for the audience and the judges, and none of them really did any dancing at that part except for Rynan Shawn guy. But then again, like JC likes to point out, dancing is entertainment - and they were highly entertaining, so it was extremely smart of them. I don't even know what to say about Kaba Modern. They are just so amazing, and it's just so sad to see them leave. LOVED the groupies part (same thing about entertainment), and totally LOVE Mike Song. =] |

@ms-jojo: yah, and the fact is, it doesn't even matter if jabbawockeez had a whole segment of them not doing anything 'cause they already killed it within the first minute. i liked how the in the beginning of that performance, the music was slower than their usual. they were very graceful... almost kaba modern-like from the beginning of the series.
--------------------------------------------------------- i think the judges were disappointed with status quo being in the top. you could tell with their little comments. they told status quo that whoever they go up against in the finals would be a near perfect team, which means they think both jabba and kaba are worthy of the finals. and they haven't exactly been praising status quo after their performances; it's more like they're trying to say something good for the sake of the number 1 spot. there's been rumors going 'round forums and from mtv emplyees & whatnot that status quo will win the finale. if this happens, i'll seriously be furious. but hey, i've actually seen first hand how staged mtv can be, so i wouldn't be surprised if this comes true: QUOTE Sources from MTV leaked out that Status Quo wins. It's been decided since episode 2. Quote: "Status Quo will win the competition no matter how many votes get submitted! I have inside info that Status Quo should of been in the bottom two but producers knew if they went head to head with Kaba Modern or Jabbawockeez they would of lost. Status Quo is a very atheletic and talented crew but when it comes down to creativity and consistency producers and judges knew Kaba and Jaba are better hands down! Producers and Randy Jackson will plan on Status Quo to win the competition because they have a more compelling story (Guys that came from the street with nothing and followed their passion for dancing that became winners) and they do not want the last 2 crews that are predominantly Asian to win because Randy Jackson is African American." Quote: "status quo wins... because it's rigged. they don't want america to think that asians are the best dancers when it comes to kaba modern and jabba ...or maybe we should simply admit that status quo has a larger fanbase (cough-not possible-cough >;[). besides, even if it were rigged, it's not like it would be illegal, as mtv conveniently protected their asses with their own rules: QUOTE This is straight from MTV's America's Best Dance Crew website in the voting rules: http://www.mtv.com/ontv/show/html/rules.... "MTVN reserves the right at its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend either or both the phoning in or text messaging voting process and reserves the right in its sole discretion to determine the winner(s)." "hey..did anyone catch the finale yesterday? it was jabba vs kaba for america's best dance crew. sq was there just to fill in some space." ^ lol, i thought it was funny. ;o |
