So I just saw this on World News on ABC and now I am seeing it online.
It might of been here a while back in stores such as circuit city but now they are unoffficially saying okay to haggling. Due to a recession in the economy, these companys are saying its okay to haggle. Usually they allow lowering when you bring in proof that an item costs less at a different store. My parents are going to buy a new tv and Imma try haggling with best buy when we buy that new flat screen. I will update this if all goes well. Gizmodo Article |

So like, it's not a price-match, right? I know bestbuy used to do price matches -- don't know if they still do -- but now they are unofficially saying you can haggle for a lower price than competing stores just so they can sell it? SHWEET.
