It's easier because if people haven't seen our pictures, they can't judge! Well, at least it starts out that way. :P I agree with the backspace thing.
Also, if you meet someone on a forum that you frequent or a game that you often play, it shows that they have similar interests as you.  I mean, in real life, you have to actually ask them abuot what they like.
