Custom Default Options

Okay I've seen some profiles that have the default page look, but a background on the sides. Is there a tutorial for this?
And what if I just want to edit the text?

All it is just a simple image, for example:
http://ftp.buddylube.com/guestlube/DEV/BOD...eBACKGROUND.jpg

Then you just set it as the background image:
