If you have a Facebook, you probably know about the group called "BRB, IM NOT REALLY GOING ANYWHERE, BUT NEITHER IS THIS CONVERSATION" (click). When you say "brb," are you actually going somewhere temporarily or pretending to be away? Same for "lol," "lmao," and "rofl": are you really amused or just saying that because you have no better response?
I always mean the acronyms that I use. |

Heh, well I do actually use brb properly, but as for lol and lmao, I use them in the same way Christina does. I rarely actually laugh out loud, but I usually type that when I find something funny.
