Street Gangs Are Taking Over the U.S. Military, Is the U.S. Military Being Slowly Compromised? Options

According to a recently released FBI report, Gang-related activity in the US military is increasing and poses a threat to law enforcement officials and national security.

The report, Gang Activity in the U.S. Armed Forces Increasing, dated January 12, states that members of nearly every major street gang have been identified on both domestic and international military installations. These street gangs include the Bloods, Crips, Black Disciples, Gangster Disciples, Hells Angels, Latin Kings, The 18th Street Gang, Mara Salvatrucha (MS-13), Mexican Mafia, Nortenos, Surenos, Vice Lords, and various white supremacist groups.

Servicemen don't get kicked out because of their gang affiliation, but the pattern of misconduct caused by a "thug" mentality, and their actions cause this. You were in the Navy, so you're well aware of Non-judicial punishments for petty bullshit, and slap-on-the-wrist violations. Just recently there was a Marine who got kicked out because he wanted to act like the same knucklehead he was prior to enlisting. He got into constant fights, hauled off by the MPs on several different occasions, shoplifting, etc; all the same petty crimes that your young, dumb, local 'gang member' would commit. One thing that struck me as fcuking absurd was when he said to a Colonel at his Court Martial, "I'mma just go back to LA wit' the Pyrus 'cause that's where my family is." He had a better chance of walking around Iraq with a target on his head.

Well... in the investigation report, they don't act like thugs in service. But there's been cases of gang graffiti and gang signs. On top of that.. supposedly over seas there's been cases of which rival gangs get into fights at clubs.

But I understand what you're sayin. If they act out obliviously... then obviously they're gonna deal with consequences.
